     Marie Dekerle lives and works in Paris. She is inspired by photos of reports. Her interest for these images is essentially formal: it is the harmony of the composition, the particular layout of lines and forms which draw first her attention. This simplified reality is then reinterpreted in a colorful semi-figurative painting. Through and beyond the subtle representation of reality, emerges a presence, immaterial and spiritual.

      Marie Dekerle vit et travaille à Paris. Elle tire son inspiration de photographies de reportages. Son intérêt pour ces images est essentiellement formel : c’est l’harmonie de la composition, l’agencement particulier des lignes et des formes qui attirent tout d’abord son regard. Cette réalité simplifiée est alors réinterprétée en une peinture semi-figurative colorée. À travers et au-delà de la représentation subtile du réel, se dégage une présence, immatérielle et spirituelle.
